Performing in a Pandemic
As a performer, I play shows for nightclubs, bars, restaurants, weddings, and nursing homes. I see the way it brings a room of strangers together, the way it transports people to another time in their lives, the way it brings people alive. It’s special.
But with COVID-19, all performances were canceled. Restaurants and bars shut down, weddings were postponed - but nursing homes? Folks still live in nursing homes. People who may have already felt a bit isolated are now shut-in, practically without any entertainment or connection.
Now more than ever, music is needed. The show must go on - but from afar!
